Do you know what milia are? Milia is a skin condition which causes the appearance of small white hard bumps on the skin which usually appear on the face, neck or chest. They are commonly known as milk spots, and are actually an accumulation of keratin under the surface of the skin. They are common in babies, but they do appear in teenagers and adults as well.
In general, milia are not harmful at all, but they are aesthetically unpleasant. They are not a sign of a bigger problem so you shouldn’t fear them. However, if they appear in large clusters they can make you look bad and ruin your self-esteem, which is why everyone is looking for a way to get rid of them. Sadly, milia are not easy to remove except for some natural treatments.
